Supreme Court rules in favour of Prez Mahama/NDC

Below is how the chips fell:

1. Overvoting: dismissed by 5:4
2.Voting without biometric verification: dismissed 6:3
3. Absence of signature: dismissed 5:4
4. Duplicate serial numbers: dismissed unanimously
5.Duplicate Polling Station Codes: dismissed unanimously
6. Unknown polling stations: dismissed unanimously



The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the petition filed by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and two others against  the results declared by the Electoral Commission in the 2012 Election

The ruling affirmed President John Mahama as the winner of the last general election.

The petitioners challenged the presidential result declared on December 28, 2012.

Mr Justice William Atuguba, President of the Supreme Court nine-member panel which sat on the petition read the verdict and said the petition filed by the petitioners had been dismissed and added that a copy of the verdict has been placed at the registry of the court for verification.
